Sports and Fitness Clubs in Cannes

Rather like a ski resort, Cannes has a number of walking, jogging and running "pistes" of various lengths and difficulties.  There are 14 routes and they cover 60 km throughout the town. You can obtain a leaflet from the tourist office or go on to www.cannes.com (click sport and then plein air) where you can download the plan or watch videos of the pistes.

 

Not your bag, so hit the beach. Try exercising on Mace Beach free of charge every Saturday morning 10-11am and also on the beach at Kiosk 16 Plage du Midi. You will need a mat or towel, tennis shoes and a bottle of water. All ages welcome. The fitness master is provided by the town.

There’s normal gym equipment, but also some great boxing classes and other combat sports, including Muay Thai, kick boxing, Jujitsu, Silat and wrestling. The instructor’s English is basic, but you can certainly get by and enjoy the courses or lessons. They run fitness classes throughout the week from Wednesday to Saturday and other combat sports on rotation. There are courses available for children from the age of five years so that they can be introduced to combat sports. Personal training and coaching is also on offer here to help you reach tour goals and assist you with fitness programmes.
